July 2017

Havana, Cuba.

Cuba lacks access to resources that many of us take for granted. Infrastructure is old, and technology and digital tools are either outdated or unavailable. This makes it difficult for Cubans to compete on the same level as the rest of the world.

By hosting a three-week donation drive at Franconia Elementary in Alexandria, Virginia,

we gathered school supplies and arts and crafts materials for La Casa Del Niño y La Niña, a children’s center in Havana.

We delivered the materials in person, and had the joy of spending time with the students and staff. We even had time for a special celebration planned by the kids themselves.
